Only it's been so long since I have used my machine that I can't remember how to thread it.
I think I am going to order some take out
And take it to my house.
And sit on my couch and eat it and watch all of the TV I have been DVRing and not watching.
We went to a birthday party today.
For my 4 year old's girlfriend.
It was fun. And yummy. There were pulled pork sandwiches. And cole slaw.
And then all of the children chased the pet potbelly pig around the yard.
And I wondered if that pig knew we were having pig for lunch.
It was heaven.
Until some older kids threw my boy off the playset.
Literally.
Onto his face.

But now its bigger and more red and it's definitely going to be a big bruise.
When we talked to The MacDaddy on Skype when we got home he wanted to know
what I said when this happened.
And I told him I said nothing.
What am I going to say in a house full of people I have never met before?
And he said that I should have asked
"What the f is wrong with your kids?"
And I thought about that and said
"Yup, that is the perfect way to make friends in a house full of people I don't know"
And so now The MacDaddy and I have agreed not to speak to each other for a while.
What would you have said?

I would have found out who their mothers were and pointed out the age difference. If they did nothing I would have left it alone but explained to the host that for my son's safety I am leaving, and left.
But then again its easy to say later what you would do in a situation that you aren't in at the moment.
That's a tricky situation, I'll give you that. I would've been leery to say anything either, because you know exactly how some other mothers can be. Sometimes it wouldn't even matter if they saw it with their own eyes what their little monsters did -- they would still probably defend them and make it look like you were in the wrong somehow. I hate it when people are like that. Poor little man. That's not cool at all.
They're kids, Kids fight. Sure, I would have reprimanded them in front of their moms, but make a big deal out of it? course not?
